Champions League Final to be played without fans

On Monday looking at the present pandemic scenario, Portugal’s health secretary made an announcement that at forthcoming Champions League games in the country no fans would be allowed.

“Regarding the public and based on the current pandemic situation, obviously not.” Antonio Lacerda Sales said when questioned about potential fan participation at games in the Champions League. 

“We don’t know whether the pandemic would develop so we must take steps due to the nature of the pandemic like we have done with certain cases. I can’t foresee the future. Clearly not in this process.”
