This summer Sevilla central defender Diego Carlos emerged as a ‘leading’ option in his position for Pep Guardiola and Manchester City.
Following the effective appeal of their two-year European ban at this week’s Court of Arbitration for Sport, talks have started covering the Etihad club ’s future relocation activity with a whole range of names connected to the Premier League with big-money transfers.
The new name to join the fray is Sevilla’s 27-year-old center-back Diego Carlos, according to The Telegraph.
This summer, after attracting the attention of Tottenham and other European clubs, the seasoned defender emerged as a ‘main’ priority for Pep Guardiola, reports.
Carlos has developed himself as one of the best-performing center-backs in La Liga, recording 15 assists in 34 league appearances, since signing for a whopping £ 13.5 million last summer from French club Nantes. But most critically for Pep Guardiola, during the league competition, Carlos has achieved a transfer completion rate of 84.2 percent.
