Real Madrid’s ex-president Ramon Calderon criticized the club’s decision to offload Cristiano Ronaldo from their books and sell the forward to Juventus in 2018.
“Ronaldo is an example for young people who want to succeed in the sport. He realized that moving to Real Madrid was a great opportunity to advance in his career, win titles and become famous,” said Calderon to Goal.
“Ronaldo made no mistake – he won four Ballon d’Or, won the Champions League four times and set records for goals he scored. Very few people can achieve this.”
“The current president made a big mistake by selling Ronaldo for 110 million euros after 9 years in the team. It’s a shame because in Italy he shows that he is still one of the best in the world.”
