Bruno Fernandes has slammed reports of a split with his manager and was “not happy” with being substituted at half-time in the extraordinary 6-1 loss to Tottenham.
The Portuguese midfielder confessed that he was “not satisfied” with the judgment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to interchange him in Tottenham Hotspur’s 6-1 loss at half-time.
But he has denied that with the Manchester United manager he is not actually seeing eye to eye.
Fernandes was substituted with United losing 4-1 at the break against Spurs, and down to 10 men after a red card for Anthony Martial.
“There’s been a lot of speculation about that,” Fernandes told reporters according to A Bola.
“First it was a discussion with team-mates, as it did not stick, it was a discussion with only one team-mate [Victor Lindelof in the Europa League semi-final], as it did not stick now, it is the discussion with Solskjaer.”
“I believe it is a way to destabilize the group. What was said is in no way true.”
“I was replaced at half-time, it is true, by technical option. The coach told me that the game was almost over and that we would have a lot of games ahead of us. Got it.”
“I was not satisfied but said nothing that could harm the group.”
