Figuring out that Kevin De Bruyne is the only man who can increase his statistics on goal involvement, Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes replied to Jose Mourinho’s dig at his penalty record.
“I honestly did not feel stunted,” Fernandes told A Bola, a Portuguese publication, before the new season.
“I feel like I’m a good penalty taker and nothing else, I understand, but what I’m taking from his [Mourinho’s] words because I’m a very confident person, is that he said I hit the penalty quite well. It’s a reality, not least since I’ve been to Manchester United.”
“I hear people say, ‘ah, he’s only scored on penalty kicks,’ but a little while ago, I saw statistics and, with the exception of penalties, only Kevin De Bruyne has a higher involvement of goals than me in England when it comes to the field,” Fernandes added.
