There are a number of must-see pre-season friendlies involving Serie A clubs this summer. AC Milan has confirmed that they will play Real Madrid in a friendly match in August. On the 8th of next month, the Rossoneri will face Real Madrid at 18.30 p.m. local time in Klagenfurt, Austria.
For the fifth time since leaving the San Siro in 2009, newly appointed Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti will play against his former club. The Italian tactician faced Milan 15 times as a coach, but only four times after he left, drawing two games, winning once, and losing once.
In the Gamper Trophy, the date for Barcelona vs. Juventus at Camp Nou is August 8, which will kick off at 21.30 local time. Following Juventus’ 3-0 thrashing of the Catalans in their Champions League group stage clash this past December it remains to be seen if Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi will collide on the pitch.
On July 31 at 18.30 Italy time, Napoli will face Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, while José Mourinho’s Roma will face Porto on July 28 at 21.00 Italy time (20.00 in the UK).
In Tel Aviv on August 8, Inter was scheduled to play La Liga champions Atletico Madrid, but the game has been canceled. The same thing happened with the Nerazzurri’s Florida Cup match against Arsenal, which was supposed to take place this Sunday. The Serie A champions did not take off after the Gunners withdrew from the competition due to a COVID outbreak in their squad.
