The pressure from Bayern Munich will not be faced by David Alaba despite his contract talks dragging on.
An ultimatum to sign a new deal will not be given to David Alaba by Bayern Munich, as per the club’s sports director, Hasan Salihamidzic.
The current contract of the Austria International expires by end of the season and a public spat between former Bayern President Uli Hoeness and the father of the player over pending talks on a new deal has broken out.
“First of all, David is our player and he has been at this club for a long time,” Salihamidzic told reporters on Monday according to TransferMarkt. “I think you can imagine that we will not give him an ultimatum because we are serious about this.”
“We try to convince David [to stay] and we would obviously be happy if he does stay here in Munich. We hope the contract will be signed soon.”
