According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona has agreed on a deal with Manchester City defender Eric Garcia to join the Catalan club in 2021.
In the summer the 19-year-old is expected to join the team as a free agent. Barca could also sign him in January, but for that to happen they would need to negotiate a payout with the English club.
It was earlier listed that Manchester City has no plan of dropping the price of the player. The club is demanding €10+10m for him.
Given that the contract between the club and the player is coming to an end, Barca’s plan was to wait until January in the hope that City would reduce the price.
However, it appears that Man City are not concerned about the fact that they could lose him for free in the summer.
Furthermore, City head coach Pep Guardiola does not want to lose Garcia in winter, given that City’s defenders could suffer injuries.
