A new contract with Arsenal will keep Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with the club until 2023 and the player is in the process of agreeing on it.
In 2021 the forward’s contract had been set to expire and leading to rumors he could leave in the summer.
Gunner’s boss Mikel Arteta remained adamant he would stay at the Emirates though Aubameyang remained tight-lipped on his future after Arsenal’s FA Cup win over Chelsea.
With Aubameyang close to agreeing to a new three-year contract, Arteta’s trust was well-positioned, according to The Telegraph.
The extension will cover the 12 months he had left to run on his current deal at the Emirates, which will extend his tenure in north London for another two years.
Talks are in advanced stages, and there have been ‘verbal promises.’ He is expected to sign the contract and commit his future to the club unless the proposed contract contains any problems or discrepancies.
