The players at Atletico Madrid are getting ready to go once they receive the green light to resume, stated Joao Felix.
As La Liga looks to adopt the Bundesliga model of adjusting to action, clubs in the Spanish top flight have already resorted to community preparation with up to 10 people.
League president Javier Tebas is hoping for the match to take action on June 12th, but Felix says that if there was an alternative, Atletico would play immediately.
“We feel pretty good and are very happy about playing again,” Felix told the official website of the club.
“We’d be back this weekend if it was up to us, but we’ll have to wait and work hard so we can get off to a strong start.”
“At home, we trained hard to guarantee we didn’t lose our strength so it was quick to get back to performing cardio work.”
“We are already beginning to practice with the ball again, so we’re trying to do it every day so we can get back to usual.”
“I missed playing and scoring goals against my team-mates.”
