Arsene Wenger entitled his autobiography “My Life in Red and White.” In it, he penned down about his 22 years at Arsenal.
Readers surprised by knowing there is no chapter to rivalry with Jose Mourinho in Wenger’s book. Wenger and Mourinho never loved each other as coaches, but the Frenchman has now explained why he didn’t want to write about the Portuguese.
“I didn’t want to write a book in which I would settle some unresolved accounts. I wanted it to be a positive book. I had more battles with Sir Alex than with Mourinho anyway,” Wenger says, quoted by the Mirror.
Wenger wrote the following about the battles he had with Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United in the late 1990s and early 2000s:
“Competition makes you hate your opponent sometimes. I think Ferguson hated me at times, as I hated him.”
