Arsenal has formally ended the deal of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, ‘to allow him to join’ Roma before 2020-21.
On a free transfer, Armenia International’s departure was announced by Arsenal following a loan in the Italian capital last season.
The Giallorossi will join the former Manchester United man as the Gunners have decided to terminate the deal for the forward.
“Micki leaves us following his season-long loan in Italy. We have agreed to terminate his contract with us by mutual consent to allow him to join Roma in a permanent move,” Arsenal wrote in a statement.
Mkhitaryan played 27 competitive games and scored nine times in the process last season for Roma.
