Ansu Fati encountered another barrier in his return from a knee injury

Barcelona winger Ansu Fati has met another hurdle in his improvement from a knee injury and may need a third operation, possibly ending his season.

However, according to Catalunya Radio, the second operation did not resolve the issue. The latest surgery proved to be more difficult than doctors had expected and leaving him nowhere near able to even consider a return to action his knee has yet to recover.

Fati got infected in March, which clearly complicated matters and forced the teenager to postpone a decision on a new operation, which he has still not officially made.

March 10 was his primary return date, but it was later moved back to late April, and there are certain concerns that Fati will not be seen until next season.
