Ansu Fati cracked the 1925 record to become Spain’s youngest goalscorer

Sunday’s match with Ukraine in Madrid saw Ansu Fati become Spain’s youngest goalscorer in history.

In the League of Nations ahead of the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium half-time with a fine effort to make it 3-0 the Barcelona forward marked his first international start.

At the age of 18 years and 344 days old Juan Errazquin hit Switzerland three times and set a record in 1925, the rising star Fati smashed the record and became the youngest net player in Spain at the age of 17 years and 311 days.

Goal announced through a tweet from their official handle.

It was the result of fine opening time for Fati, who also won the penalty for opening the score for Sergio Ramos, with the Real Madrid defender’s looping header doubling Spain’s lead.

In Thursday’s 1-1 draw against Germany, Fati made his senior international debut off the bench.
