Defender Andrew Robertson has commented on Liverpool’s injury problems.
“No team in the world can cope with having 18 combinations of central defenders in a season. Not one,” Robertson told Sky Sports.
“We usually have Van Dijk talking to everybody all the time. We’ve got Gomez, who sets an example for everyone, we’ve got Matip. We had Henderson, Fabinho.”
“And now we have Nathaniel Phillips, who came back from loan this season, Kabak, a young lad who has just transferred to us. We also have Ben Davies, signed from Champions League – he needs time to adapt. Then there’s Rhys Williams.”
“All these guys are relatively inexperienced.”
