Andrea Pirlo will be returning to Juventus as the coach of their Serie C Under-23 team, substituting Fabio Pecchia, reports Sky Sport Italia.
The proposal had been in consideration for several months and Pirlo wanted to think about it for some time.
The former midfielder has now been accepted, and will be accompanied as his assistant manager by former teammate Roberto Baronio, claims Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Juventus U23 team plays in Serie C, winning their first piece of silverware last week, the Coppa Italia Serie C.
From next season coach Pecchia will not be on board, in spite of that victory, replaced by Pirlo in his first management role.
