Juventus head coach Andrea Pirlo, who has seen the right attitude of Juventus towards SPAL, is ‘happy’ to face Inter in the semi-final of Coppa Italia and praises the Under-23 team’s capital.
With goals from Alvaro Morata, Gianluca Frabotta, Dejan Kulusevski and Federico Chiesa, the Bianconeri made quick work of Serie B side SPAL.
Juventus is the only club in Italy that has taken advantage of the change in rules authorizing an Under-23 team to compete in Serie C, thus the coach uses the youth players very well, in particular.
“Juve were the first and only club to create a B-Team and I think it was a great move for the development of these players. It’s one thing to pluck players from the youth academy, quite another to get them from a team currently in Serie C. I believe other clubs ought to open their minds a bit more.”
