Everton head coach Carlo Ancelotti has summarized the results of the 0-2 win over Chelsea in the 27th round of the EPL.
“They played better than us and deserved to win. We defended well for 30 minutes but when they scored it was difficult for us. They have a good team, “Ancelotti told BT Sport.
“For thirty minutes the game was as we had planned. We didn’t have many chances. Richarlison could have scored.”
“But let’s be honest: we are not on the same level as Chelsea. We cannot play openly against a team like that. We planned to play the same way as we did against Liverpool (2-0) but we scored early there.”
“We will be competing for a place in the European competitions. Such a fight is good for us. We will be in the race to the end.”
“We are disappointed with the defeat, but it is not a tragedy. We are looking forward to the next game.”
