Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson’s father drowned in a lake at the family’s vacation ranch in the far south of Brazil, where new federal lockout controls have recently been placed in effect.
Having unsuccessfully sought to find a way to return home, Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson will be forced to stay in the UK and miss the funeral of his late father, who died this week in Brazil, in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Alisson took the ‘heartbreaking decision’ not to fly between meeting the difficult constraints in the state of Rio Grande so Sul and the ban on all direct flights between Brazil and the United Kingdom, as well as compulsory quarantine, measures upon his return according to the Daily Mail.
