Football Association charged Cavani for using offensive word

The Football Association of England has announced a report about Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani’s Instagram post where the Uruguayan used the word ’n******’.

“Edinson Cavani has been charged with breaching FA rules in connection with a social media post on Thursday, November 29, 2020,” the statement said.

“The comment posted on the Manchester United player’s Instagram page was offensive, inappropriate and detrimental to football. The comment is also alleged to constitute

“aggravated misconduct” by including an explicit or implicit reference to skin colour, race, ethnicity.”

The attacker can appeal against the charge until Monday, January 4, 2021.
