The world football governing body has stated that FIFA president Gianni Infantino has entered into self-isolation after he tested positive for coronavirus.
In compliance with COVID-19 recommendations, until he is no longer at risk of spreading the virus his quarantine period will last for at least 10 days.
There were mild signs of the virus in Infantino, who replaced Sepp Blatter as FIFA president in 2016.
In addition, FIFA reported that all those who in recent days have been in touch with Infantino have been told and advised to take the appropriate measures.
Globally, the coronavirus outbreak continues to affect football.
