In the 26th match of the Hero Indian Super League 2021-22, the bottom-ranked FC Goa and Bengaluru FC will face each other in the second match of the double header played on Saturday. There is a possibility of a tough fight between the two teams in this match to be played from 9:30 pm at the GMC Athletic Stadium in Bambolin. Goa’s team had broken their three consecutive losing streak by defeating East Bengal in their previous match and would like to carry on their first win streak in the next game.

Playing under the supervision of Spanish coach Juan Fernando, the Goa team won that tough match 4-3 with the help of two goals from Spanish midfielder Alberto Noguera. Goa’s defense has been looking a bit weak this season but the team’s attack was sharpened in the last match with Spanish midfielder Edu Bedia entering the field and compatriot Jorge Ortiz also showed his mettle.

Bengaluru, on the other hand, has lost their last two matches and does not appear to be in good shape. But despite Bengaluru’s weak performance, Fernando does not consider his team Goa as a contender in the upcoming match and says that any team can win in this league any day. The Spanish coach said, “No team is a contender in this league. Everyone is watching the game and the results are baffling. The most important thing is that the team maintains its focus. We played as a unit in the last match and we had to The same needs to be done going forward. As you can see the players are working hard.”

Bengaluru lost their previous football match 0-1 to Hyderabad FC and are ranked ninth one place above Goa. On the eve of the match, Bengaluru coach Marco Pezzaiuoli said, “We are getting better match by match. We need to show better defence. We let the goals go smoothly and this lack is affecting our style of play.”

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
