Joe Hart will be targeting the No.1 shirt at his new club, according to Paul Robinson.
The Tottenham goalkeeper “believes he is stronger” than Hugo Lloris.
“It is a really sensible deal for all parties,” Robinson told Football Insider.
“It’s a big ticked box-another star that is homegrown. I assume the case with Joe Hart is special at Spurs.”
“He won’t go there to lie on his laurels. He’ll think, and probably, I’d agree, that in the past couple of seasons Lloris has been vulnerable to injuries and inconsistent, Gazzaniga has done OK, but Joe Hart definitely feels he’s stronger than him.”
“With the amount of games Spurs has, provided that they have to head into the Europa League early, game time will come. It is a real opportunity for him to play some games.”
“We just have to watch to see if Joe Hart’s signing means Gazzaniga is moving on.”
