Tottenham 3-0 Arsenal

The referee blows the whistle for full-time as Tottenham Hotspur run out 3-0 victors in the North London derby.

They were set on their way by a Kane penalty on 22 minutes, as the referee pointed to the spot after Cedric bundled over Son as a Kulusevski cross was floated towards the back post.

Kane stepped up and stroked the ball into the bottom right corner to put his side in front. Arsenal’s task was made harder in 33 minutes.

When Holding received a second yellow card for bringing down Son as he looked to chase onto a Dier through ball.

Kane made it 2-0 just four minutes later after Bentancur nodded a Son cross towards the back post.

Kane slid in at the back, stuck to head home and gave his team a 2-0 lead at the break.

Any hopes of a comeback from the Gunners were quickly dashed just minutes into the second half.

When Son lashed into the far corner to make it 3-0 and secure a crucial win.

It’s 3-0!!! Son makes it three just one minute into the second half. After a tackle in the box on Kane ends up prodding the ball out to Son. He takes it the first time and calmly finishes into the far corner to surely put this game beyond the visitors.

So, what’s next?

Tottenham needed a result in this game to keep their top-four hopes alive, and that’s exactly what they’ve found.

The three points for the hosts means they move to just a point behind their bitter rivals, with two games left to play.

They will host Burnley next before finishing up with an away game at relegated Norwich, as they look to keep the pressure on Arsenal.

For the Gunners, defeat means that they miss out on the chance to clinch their place in the Champions League next season.
