As PSG brace for a replay of one of the club’s most crushing losses in its history, Marco Verratti will practice for an injury-hit.
Mauricio Pochettino is approaching Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Barcelona calmly considering the weight of history on his team’s shoulders, and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti will be preparing.
Since the collapse in the second leg of the last-16 clash between the two teams in 2017, last season’s finalists will meet Barca at Camp Nou for the first time.
“We are taking it to step by step with Marco Verratti,” Pochettino told a pre-match media conference. “He is going to train today [Tuesday] and it won’t be a particularly demanding one as it is the day before the match.”
“We have a strategy and a gameplan that, depending on who is available, will affect our decision.”
