At the end of the season, the likelihood of permanently signing Manchester United winger Alexis Sanchez was discussed by Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta, sustaining that the club “appreciate its quality”.
“He’s a rediscovered soccer player with the right hunger. He’s suffered a lot, he’s fine now, he’s our extra weapon,” the Inter boss told reporters after watching Sanchez score on July 16 during a 4-0 win over SPAL.
As Sky Italia asked on Sanchez’s prospects, the Inter boss answered: “We’re delighted with what he’s doing. We respect his work and we will be making appropriate evaluations. We want to raise the bar, build a combination of seasoned players with a winning mindset, and young prospects.”
