Leicester City is still interested to make a move for Adam Lallana, according to reports.
Brendan Rodgers wants to swoop for the playmaker from Liverpool at the end of the season when he becomes a free agent, The Daily Star reports.
In the rumors about the future of the player, City was at the forefront, whereas Lallana was linked to a few clubs, including Premier League rivals Everton.
At the end of the season, England international is expected to leave Anfield, where Rodgers brought him from Southampton in July 2014 for £25m.
Lallana’s contract was set to expire at the end of June. To help the Reds win the Premier League title he signed on for an additional couple of weeks deal.
Now that the title is wrapped up to shield him from injury, Lallana is not going to take any further part, Klopp reported earlier this week.
“It is clear that, if the season ever begins, Adam will leave the club in the season,” he said.
“I’m missing something about him already. He’s still here right now but we’re going to miss him. He’s one of the most important players on the standard of training I’ve ever had in my life.”
“But now we have a difficult situation and I will respect Adam a lot.”
“Everything with Adam is sorted, let me say it like this. He is so fit, he is training, everything is fine, but the future is his future.”
“And if we need his help on the pitch we can get it. He trains 100% but as long as we don’t need him, he will just train.”
