In Tottenham against West Ham, Gareth Bale will “probably” make his second debut on Sunday, head coach Jose Mourinho says to SkySports.
Seven years after his world-record transfer to the Spanish giants, Bale returned to North London and sealed a sensational return from Real Madrid on a loan in September.
The forward from Wales, who had rested on the international break to build up his fitness, is still out of the blue but is likely to participate either on Sunday or in the Europa League on Thursday against LASK.
“Of course he wants to play,” Mourinho said. “He wanted to play since the day he arrived, but it was not possible.”
“I am not going to tell you if he is going to play, what I can tell you is that he is working very well, he is working in the way he was not able to do.”
“The last week, especially Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, the planning of the sessions had a big focus on him and he is in pretty good condition.”
