England comes from behind to beat Switzerland 2-1 in their friendly clash at Wembley Stadium.

Breel Embolo put the visitors ahead when he headed Xherdan Shaqiri’s cross past Jordan Pickford.

While the Swiss then wasted opportunities to extend their advantage. Luke Shaw levelled the scores on the stroke of half-time.

England was awarded a penalty in the second half after VAR adjudged Steven Zuber to have handled the ball in the box, blocking a Marc Guehi header.

Harry Kane dispatched the penalty to score his 49th England goal and notch the decisive strike for the Three Lions.

Shaqiri takes possession on the right flank and curls a dangerous cross to the back post that travels over the head of White. Embolo pounces and nods his effort away from Pickford to find the back of the net.

 SHAW HAMMERS HOME AN EQUALISER. 1-1. England is level courtesy of a rocket from Shaw. Walker-Peters makes an excellent interception to cut out a pass from Frei, and Gallagher seizes on the loose ball. He works it across the edge of the Switzerland box for the run of Shaw, who dispatches a sweet left-footed effort into the top-left corner.

KANE CONVERTS. ENGLAND LEAD 2-1. The England captain fires his side ahead with the 49th international goal of his career. Kane goes low with his effort and dispatches his powerful strike into the bottom-left corner away from the dive of Omlin, who goes the right way but cannot keep the ball out.

England is next in action at Wembley on Tuesday against the Ivory Coast.

Switzerland is in action on the same day against Kosovo on home soil.
