Burnley rescues a point after satisfactory second-half performance. Manchester Utd dominated the first period and thought they had the lead early on, only for VAR to rule out Varane’s header following a foul from Maguire.
They weren’t to be denied for long, though, and the visitors took the lead when Shaw set up Pogba for a fine finish from 12 yards.
Burnley didn’t manage a single shot in the first 45 minutes, but they flew out of the blocks in the second period.
And quickly equalised when Weghorst played in Rodriguez for an excellent one-on-one finish.
From there, the visitors created a few half-chances late on, but Burnley defended stoutly to secure a point.

Rashford draws in the defender before feeding Shaw on the overlap, and the fullback sends in an accurate low cross that Pogba lashes into the roof of the net from 10 yards.
1-1. Weghorst receives a pass and spins past Maguire before threading a delightful through ball to set Rodriguez clean through.
Rodriguez dribbles deep into the box before nudging a little chip over De Gea.
So, where else do Burnley and Manchester United go from here?
Burnley will enjoy a confidence boost following that performance, but they remain in 20th place.
Manchester Utd drops to fifth following another frustrating display.
