Goal reveals French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga’s statement which stated he was inspired by Paul Pogba after the Rennes starlet got his first international call-up.

Camavinga, who was compared to Pogba, said that after leading his country to the biggest international football award, the 27-year-old was a huge influence for him.

“I am inspired by Paul Pogba,” said Camavinga.

“He’s a really good player with great skills. He has proven it in the French squad, just look at what he’s done: world champion, but I don’t really like comparisons.”

In appreciation to Pogba, Camavinga said he was also a follower of another World Cup winner, who scored against Croatia in the 2018 final.

“Kylian [Mbappe] has set the bar really high, but it’s definitely a source of motivation for all young players,” Camavinga said about PSG star.

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
