To earn a supplementary benefit on the field Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo is allegedly using rugby-inspired new studs.
According to Tuttosport and Sport Mediaset, CR7 believes that the change to his boots will get a stronger grip on the turf and allow him to run faster.
Montpellier forward Andy Delort has already been using these studs since 19 February, so it’s not entirely a new idea.
The results are good, as Delort set a record in Ligue 1 by sprinting at 36.8 km/h for this season.
These are probably more than metal rubber studs, allowing for more flexibility and speed.
