Philippe Coutinho could move for just £9 m to the Emirates Stadium as Barcelona has reportedly proposed an Arsenal player-plus-cash deal.
Coutinho returns to Barcelona from a mixed season-long loan spell with Bayern Munich. Now the La Liga giants are seeming to unload the Brazil international.
Arsenal has been credited with a benefit as Coutinho has indicated that he wishes to return to the Premier League where he starred with Liverpool in his five years.
According to The Independent, Gunners lands as Barcelona’s favorite to unload the 28-year-old and is ready to trade him in a cut-price contract.
Barca is said to be linked in contracting Matteo Guendouzi as part of the transfer, after falling out with boss Mikel Arteta, who has no future in North London.
However, this summer chairman Daniel Levy is willing to target younger players, the same report shows that Tottenham Hotspur has not yet ruled out making a move for Coutinho.
