Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech will be leaders for Chelsea, according to Ashley Cole.
“While the latest players who come in are young, they have experience playing the Champions League, they were their team leaders,” former Blues defender told ESPN about Werner and Ziyech.
Cole claims the two latest arrivals can add more than just star-quality to the team.
“They can give that leadership off the field and also on it. When I was a player here we had a lot of leaders.”
“Not only talking, they lead by example, but with their feet. I believe that is more important. People can speak. It’s easy to talk because that’s what makes the difference when you back it up with quality performances.”
