Chennaiyin FC, who are still undefeated in the Hero Indian Premier League 2021-22, will have to put in their best to stop Mumbai City FC’s winning campaign. The match between these two teams playing great football is likely to be full of excitement, being played at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda on Wednesday. Defending champions Mumbai have won four out of the five matches they have played so far and are at the top of the table with 12 points. On the other hand, Chennaiyin FC are fourth with eight points from four matches. Chennai has not lost a single match so far holding two wins and two draws in its account.

Today’s football match will be between the most aggressive team and the strongest defensive team in the league. Mumbai has scored more (16) goals compared to other teams while Chennaiyin FC has conceded only two goals. So the record of both the teams is excellent in different departments of the game. Mumbai City coach Des Buckingham said on the eve of the upcoming match, “We’ll take each match at once. We weren’t swayed after our first match and weren’t swayed after the second match, when we had one win and one loss.” He added, “Our focus is on the next match. Our opposition is the only team in the league that has not lost. So the next match is going to be challenging.”

Chennaiyin has a solid defense but Polish forward Lukasz Gikiewicz is missing ahead on the goal. Lukasz missed many chances in the match against East Bengal. Chennai FC head coach Bozidar Bandovic said, “We need to play match by match. We need to keep improving and thus being undefeated is not enough. If you want to be successful, we need to be stable. We need to keep going like this, but of course we need to win the game.”

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
