One of the most prosperous English teams in the twenty-first century, Chelsea has historically produced many dangerous scorers. The two-time Champions League champions have a long list of legendary players among their ranks, including Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, and Eden Hazard. The top 20 scorers of all time are shown below.
In his 648 appearances for the club, Lampard has scored 211 goals, making him the top in the Chelsea scoring list. He won the Chelsea Player of the Year award three times while playing as a midfielder, and he also took home the 2008 UEFA Midfielder of the Year honor.
Another England international, Bobby Tambling, is the second player on the illustrious list. The striker was a lethal performer in front of goal and served as Chelsea’s top attacker for five seasons in the 1960s. He once set the record for the most goals scored in a game by a Blues player when he scored five goals in a 6-2 victory over Aston Villa.
Kerry Dixon is ranked third among Chelsea’s highest scorers of all time. Dixon had a remarkable club career, playing 420 times for the Blues, making 193 goals, and winning the second division twice. With 164 goals, fan-favorite Didier Drogba is in the fourth position, and no one will soon forget his goal in the 2012 Champions League final.
Another player on the list whom Chelsea supporters still hold dear is Hazard. Earlier joining Real Madrid for a staggering sum of €150 million, the Belgian international was regarded as one of the best players to have ever graced the Stamford Bridge field. Hazard was a dangerous goal-scorer for Chelsea, tallying 110 goals in total. One of the best Premier League goals ever is still regarded as being his spectacular strike against Tottenham Hotspur.
Another Chelsea captain who, perhaps a little surprise, made this esteemed list is John Terry. The center-back scored 67 goals for his team and was named UEFA Defender of the Year in 2005, 2008, and 2009. Before laying up his boots in the summer of 2018, the Chelsea star won the PFA Player of the Year award in 2005.
