Leicester City celebrated their first ever FA Cup win as they defeated Chelsea 1-0 at Wembley on Saturday. Following a recent loss, Chelsea will host Leicester at Stamford Bridge for the Premier League game on Tuesday. It will be a fast turnaround for both teams and they are hoping to improve their chances of finishing in the top four and qualifying for next season’s Champions League. Here is everything to know about Chelsea vs Leicester City match details.

Team news

Chelsea lineup: Mendy; James, Zouma, Rudiger; Azpilicueta, Kante, Kovacic, Chilwell; Mount, Havertz, Pulisic

Christian Pulisic, Edouard Mendy, Ben Chilwell, Kai Havertz, and Edouard Mendy could all return to the starting XI.

On Tuesday, Timo Werner is possible to be ruled out after a disappointing performance at Wembley.

Reece James was used as a third center-back at Wembley alongside Cesar Azpilicueta, and we could see a similar situation here against Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho.

Chelsea must win this game so Thiago Silva will most likely be rested on the final day of the season, he has played a lot of minutes in a short period of time.

Mateo Kovacic could only make the bench on Tuesday after a lengthy layoff.

Leicester City lineup: Schmeichel; Castagne, Fofana, Soyuncu; Albrighton, Tielemans, Ndidi, Thomas; Perez, Maddison; Vardy

Jonny Evans dropped of Leicester’s final two games of the season after he picked up an injury during FA Cup final on Saturday.

On Tuesday, with Marc Albrighton also pushing for a spot James Maddison is expected to replace Ayoze Perez in the starting lineup.

Luke Thomas has had a good run in the side, and that looks likely to continue unless Brendan Rodgers makes any changes at the back.

Chelsea lost to Arsenal in Premier League last week and were defeated by Leicester in FA Cup on Saturday, with all these the Blues were in considerable danger of missing out on a top four finish.

Leicester experienced their first-ever FA Cup title win but they must now refocus because they could still miss out on a top four finish and Champions League football next season, with Liverpool breathing down their necks.

In two of their last three home matches, Chelsea has struggled to score against Leicester, in addition to drawing a blank at Wembley.

On Tuesday, Chelsea is expected to revenge against Leicester considering the importance of the match,  with the Foxes unlikely to show the same level of commitment as they did at Wembley.

With both teams prioritizing defensive stability, it’s likely to be another cagey, low-scoring affair, so scoring the first goal will be crucial.

Our Prediction: Chelsea 1-0 Leicester City

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
