Following Ben Chilwell’s introduction to the squad on Wednesday Chelsea signed Thiago Silva and continues the long history of top Brazilian players gracing Chelsea’s ground.
Even Malang Sarr joined in this week and will be on loan in 2020/21.
It was one of the sub-plots on the huge stage of the Champions League final at the weekend that the Brazilian central defender’s term as a Paris Saint-German player was coming to a climax and he decided to cross the English Channel to continue his long and outstanding career.
Glancing ahead to his new challenge, Thiago Silva said for the official website: “I am so happy to be joining Chelsea.
