Chelsea for €100 million bid for a 22-year-old. According to reports, Chelsea will make a $100 million offer to sign Arsenal-and-Juventus target Dusan Vlahovic. The Blues are poised to make an offer for the Serbian striker in the January transfer window, claims Italian news portal Calciomercatoweb. The Bianconeri are currently experiencing a financial problem after recording losses totaling millions for the fourth consecutive year. Juventus is trying to sell several of their key players, notably Vlahovic, to stop the declining trend and raise money.

Arsenal’s hopes of signing the striker to the Emirates would take a major hit if Chelsea made a sizable offer for the striker.  Arsenal is reportedly leading the competition to recruit Vlahovic, according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato earlier this month. The Serbian striker passed up the opportunity to sign with the Gunners in January in favor of joining Juventus from Fiorentina. Chelsea is considering making an £87.46 million bid for the striker, which might end Arsenal’s chances of getting him for a second time.

Vlahovic, whom Juventus acquired from Fiorentina for €70 million, has been a respectable acquisition. In 36 games in all competitions, he has 16 goals, including 13 in Serie A. Chelsea needs Dusan Vlahovic more than Arsenal does if the 2022–23 season is any indication. At the top of the Premier League standings, Arsenal is currently having a good time. They have 37 points in 14 games, five more than the reigning champions Manchester City. Gabriel Jesus among their new additions has been operating at full capacity.

Additionally, Mikel Arteta’s team has scored 33 goals, which is more than any other team in the division save for City (40). Jesus, who was playing for Brazil at the FIFA World Cup, suffered a knee injury and will be sidelined until March. Chelsea, on the other hand, has had a dismal season and is currently in seventh place with just 21 points. Their offense, which has scored just 17 goals in 14 games played in the top division, has been one of their main vulnerabilities this season. The solution to their offensive problems may lie in acquiring Vlahovic. Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner left the club in the summer, leaving the Blues without a natural striker.
