Chelsea faces two injuries within the first half against Man City. During the opening period of their Premier League matches against Manchester City, Chelsea suffered two injuries. Due to their separate injuries, Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic had to be removed from the game. Five minutes after the game began, Sterling was sent off. Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang took his position. After getting hurt, the former City and Liverpool player walked right into the tunnel.

Then, shortly after, American superstar Christian Pulisic left the game midway through the first half, dealing Graham Potter’s team another serious blow. Carney Chukwemeka took over as the former Borussia Dortmund star’s replacement. At the very end of the first half, Chukwuemeka was denied by the post. Despite their injury problems, Chelsea was the superior team in the first half, and the Stamford Bridge crowd applauded them as they exited the field at halftime.

But in the second half, Manchester City started to take back the initiative. The Blues had trouble getting their lines cleared. Riyad Mahrez’s game-winning goal, which Jack Grealish assisted on, gave the Cityzens the victory in the end.

Benoit Badiashile has officially joined the Blues after leaving AS Monaco, and he has signed a seven-and-a-half-year contract. Cesc Fabregas, a former Blues midfielder, responded to the signing by writing on Twitter: “Such a signing, Bon chance, my friend.”

In response to signing the west London club, Badiashile, a former colleague of Fabregas at AS Moncao, stated on their website (via Mirror): “I’m thrilled to be at Chelsea and can’t wait to begin playing for this team. I am eager to meet the supporters and begin competing in the top league in the globe.”

In response to the transfer, Todd Boehly and co-owner Behdad Eghbali said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Benoit to Chelsea. He’s an amazing young player who has swiftly built a solid reputation for himself and has a tremendous lot of experience for his young age. He will undoubtedly play a significant role on our squad moving forward.”
