Today the Brazilian Soccer Confederation (CBF) confirmed that on August 9th the Brazilian League 2020 will begin and will run through February 2021.

CBF normally guaranteed matches at home and away.

20 teams. 38 fixtures. Same format and rules.

Conceivably the local government will decide rules and restrictions, depending on that some clubs will have to play in other stadiums/places.

Under the same rules, the Brazil Cup will begin on August 26.

The responsibility for the liberation of attendance/prohibition was already transferred to local governments. Still, only Rio de Janeiro allowed attendance for the next month.

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
