In the Champions League, Villarreal still has a view of a place in the first four and participation, thanks to the sixth victory after the resumption of the Spanish Football league.

It defeated competitor Getafe 3-1 last tonight in an away match.

Captain Santi Cazorla has been especially secure and scored both penalties. In addition, Villarreal distanced himself from Getafe, who stayed sixth. In the Europa League group stage, Spain’s number 5 enters directly.

After goalkeeper David Soria’s foul on replacing Moi Gómez, referee Javier Estrada pointed to the spot first and then shortly after Portillo hit Gómez.

The VAR has had to be used both times to convince Estrada. Cazorla was the man who shot from 11 meters every time: in the 66th and 86th minutes.

Meanwhile, in the 80th minute, Hugo Duro’s substitute had leveled. Rubén Peña made it 3-1 in injury time for Villarreal that approaches Seville on three points.

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
