Edinson Cavani striker of Manchester United has reacted to the Football Association’s (FA) decision to disqualify and fine him for using the word “ne**ito” while communicating on Instagram.
“Hello everyone. I don’t want to spread myself too much at this unpleasant moment. I want to make it clear that I am taking disciplinary action, aware that I am an outsider in matters of everyday English, but I don’t share that viewpoint,” the Uruguayan forward posted in Twitter.
“I apologize if I have offended anyone by expressing sympathy for a friend, there was nothing different in my intention. Those who know me understand that I am always looking for basic joy and friendship!”
“I am grateful for the countless expressions of support and sympathy for me. My heart is at peace because I know that my self-expression is always coupled with warmth towards my culture and way of life.”
“I send you a heartfelt hug.”
