There have been speculation that Valencia will lose out a number of high-profile players but amid this, Dani Parejo claims to stay at the club.
Captain Parejo, who joined Valencia in 2011, gave a statement to rumors that he wants to retire in Valencia.
While admitting that anything can happen in football, he says he doesn’t seek a way out of the club.
It has been rumored that during the closing season, with one of the players to be offloaded by 31-year-old Parejo, Valencia owner Peter Lim will conduct a dramatic overhaul of the squad.
“In Valencia, I’m very happy,” he told Radio Marca. “It’s a great city and here my family is absolutely happy.”
“I’ve been at this club for nine years and it’s my home, I feel that really. I’ve got two years left on my contract and I want to retire in Valencia.”
“But football is football and you never know what might happen to me. But, for me, Valencia is the most important for me now.”
Valencia finished season 2019-20 in ninth, three points away from a qualifying spot for the Europa League.
