Eintracht Frankfurt 0-1 Bayern Munich

An even and open contest at the Deutsche Bank Park comes to a close with Bayern Munich taking all-three points against Eintracht Frankfurt, thanks to Sane’s 71st-minute goal.

The second half played out essentially the same as the first, with the visitors controlling possession and leaving space to hit the counter.

Nagelsmann’s change would make the difference, as Sabitzer was replaced with just over 20 minutes to go.

It allows Musiala to drop back into midfield and provide a space for Sane to go forward.

The alteration worked to almost immediate results as the Germany international winger latched onto the end of a Kimmich pass and beat an in-form Trapp just four minutes later.

Frankfurt mounted some late pressure, leading to a few scrambles in the Bayern box, but Sven Ulreich mainly was untroubled in goal.

Eintracht Frankfurt can take a lot of positives away from the performance.

The result puts Bayern Munich clear at the top by nine points, while Glasner’s men stay 10th.

1-0! Nagelsmann’s change took just three minutes to pay dividends as Sane latches onto Kimmich’s incisive pass inside the penalty area ahead of Hinteregger before neatly turning his effort into the bottom corner.

So, where else do Frankfurt and Munich go from here?

Eintracht Frankfurt is in action again next Saturday, when they travel to face Hertha Berlin.

Bayern Munich has seven days rest ahead of their next fixture – a home clash with Bayer Leverkusen.
