A Lewandowski hat-trick sees Bayern Munich return to winning ways with a 4-0 victory over Cologne,
And maintain their lead at the top of the Bundesliga table.
They led 2-0 at the break, thanks to goals from Lewandowski and Tolisso before Lewandowski showed his quality once again with two more in the second half to wrap up the win.
Cologne went close to scoring as Hubers struck the crossbar with his header, but ultimately they just couldn’t find a way past Neuer.

Bayern once again counters quickly and catches Cologne out at the back. Sabitzer switches the ball to Tolisso down the right, who plays a one-two with Muller in the box, before smashing his effort into the top the left corner of the net. Schwabe had no chance of stopping that one, great strike, and Bayern lead 2-0.

Lewandowski grabs his second goal of the game and fires Bayern 3-0 ahead! Cologne loses the ball on the halfway line and Bayern press forward quickly, with Sane turning and firing a pass-through to Lewandowski in behind the hosts’ defence. The striker then only had the keeper to beat and he showed great composure to slot it into the back of the net.

Lewandowski has his hat-trick and Bayern lead 4-0! Sane does brilliantly on the edge of the box, twisting and turning away from a couple of defenders, before flicking the ball through to Lewandowski, who coolly slides it past the keeper.
So, what’s next for Bayern Munich and Cologne?
Bayern stays six points ahead of Dortmund in the second position in the table, ahead of their game against Hertha Berlin next weekend.
Meanwhile, Cologne drops to eighth and they face VfL Bochum next timeout in the league.
