Bukayo Saka performance against West Ham was amazing. Legendary Premier League player Alan Shearer lauded Arsenal star Bukayo Saka for his performance in the London derby versus West Ham United. The former Newcastle United striker thinks that Saka delivered for the Gunners in Gabriel Jesus’ place. On Boxing Day, Arsenal resumed their Premier League schedule. To defeat West Ham United and earn all three points, they had to come from behind. Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Eddie Nkethia, the Gunners’ young front three, scored in the second half to increase their advantage at the top of the standings.

Shearer gave Saka high accolades during his appearance on the BBC’s Match Of The Day. When his team needed him the most, he allegedly stepped up and delivered. He stated: “Saka was at the center of everything. Who was going to step up today without Jesus, of course, hurting one of their biggest men? Saka was the one who carried it out. every action he took. In addition to his extraordinary talent, he has a strong personality. He has a such amazing talent. Who will stand up was always going to be the deciding factor. He was the one present today for me.”

After the game, Thierry Henry praised Saka on Amazon Prime Video. The Arsenal great thinks the player has developed the killer instinct necessary to improve on the field as a result of recent disappointments. He stated: “I want to draw attention to the fact that he used the term disappointment and that he realizes how crucial victory in battles is, as well as how crucial it is for him to develop into a killing threat and an unfriendly player. That standard is not acceptable. It has to be you or the guy when you cross that line. He now recognizes that it must be you.”

If the Gunners can win it all this year, Henry added: “Yes, they and we both intend to stay, and we have a team. We Arsenal supporters have been yearning for a squad to compete rather than just 11 players because a squad wins a championship.” Despite having played one more game than second-place Newcastle United, Mikel Arteta’s team leads by seven points.
