With a comfortable 3-0 win, Manchester United resumed their push for a top-four finish at Brighton, Bruno Fernandes becomes a star.

As an astonishing person shot from Mason Greenwood and a diverted effort from Fernandes put visitors firmly in charge in the first half, the Red Devils have also seemed on track to make it 15 games winning in all competitions.

The Portuguese midfielder applied his second of the match only after the interval as he volleyed home, following a ruthlessly smooth counter-assault.

As the game wore on, Brighton put up a little bit more of a struggle, but Leandro Trossard’s substitute saw two low attempts travel just high.

Leicester is placed third, just three points behind the club, United move up to the fifth position with season’s fifth league success. Brighton remains six points clear of 15th-place relegation places.

Next up on Saturday, United host Bournemouth, while Graham Potter’s Seagulls are holding out hope to take a major step towards securing survival at rock-bottom Norwich.
