On unspecified terms, Brighton & Hove Albion have concluded, the signing of defender Joel Veltman from Dutch team Ajax.
The 28-year-old Dutch international will cover in central defense and has entered the club on a three-year deal.
Head coach Graham Potter said: “We are incredibly delighted to welcome Joel to the club. Through his tenure, he has great experience with Ajax including the Champions League and, of course, with the Dutch national team.”
“He’s an outstanding player who can play right-back and center half, but in control, he’s always confident.”
“He’s really looking forward to the Premier League task of competing so we’re pleased that he’s now a Brighton player so we’re looking forward to working with him.”
For his nation, the player won 22 caps. The last was won in November when he helped the Netherlands qualify for Euro 2021 with a goalless draw in Belfast against Northern Ireland.
