For supposed involvement in a ring of prostitution and drugs, Bosnia and Herzegovina police arrested Champions League referee Slavko Vincic.
Croatian daily 24Sata informs, the authorities found nine women, 26 men, and a weapon cache and cocaine in a cabin in Bijeljina where they arrested Vincic, who took charge of the match between Genk and Liverpool in this season’s European elite competition as well as two further Champions League games and one in the Europa League.
He was arrested alongside Tijana Maksimovic, who is believed to be the leader of the prostitution ring. Maksimovic was detained while trying to cross the Croatian border in a boat that was carrying three women as well.
While it is alleged that Vincic is not individually linked in the case, he is blamed for being one of the 26 people reportedly caught with drugs and illegal weapons.
